Aarti & Dipesh (Wedding)

I was asked to carry out another assignment for Aarti & Dipesh who had their wedding last month. Their wedding took place last month and it was a great honour to be a part of and document their big day. Everything was breathtaking, from the location at The Grove, to the families warmth. Both Aarti and Dipesh were the biggest stars on the day who as always were a great pleasure to work with and the make up by the one and only Jawaad Ashraf. Davinder & Kamal

It’s been quite some time since I last posted an entry on the blog. This has been purely down to the heavey workload over the past several months. With the great weather lately, I had the great pleasure in carrying out a pre-wed shoot for Davinder and Kamal down at the coast for something away from the norm. A very big thank you to Heather Douglas and the Harbour Master for allowing us to shoot at the Royal Harbour Marina in Ramsgate that day. Sindy & Dhes

It’s been a while since I last posted a show on the blog, but what better way to post another than of the great wedding of Sindy and Dhes. Both Sindy and Dhess were a charm to work with as were their respected families. The wedding took place at the Sikh Temple in Gillingham, with their spectacular reception at the Gillingham Football Club, put together by Premiere Banqueting. The sounds played by Indy and Rav from the Powerbass Roadshow had the guests dancing throughout the afternoon with so much passion, that the party was allowed to continue way over the allocated finishing time, which also allowed Dhes to conduct his stage dive into the dancing guests. Hannah Montana Movie

It’s not often that I get to right something about my personal life which is a little boring anyways.. LOL. Anyways, you’re probably asking “What is a grown man of 36 doing watching the Hannah Montana movie?”

Well, apart from giving money to the Disney Corp and Miley Cirus (AKA Hannah Montana), not to mention eating a 5 litre bucket of sweet popcorn along with a barrel of Coca Cola, I was in fact dragged by our youngest daughter. Don’t worry, I won’t be giving the storyline or the plot away. You must go and see this movie (As I don’t want to be the only mug stung by Disney) LOL.

After a couple of pre-wed shoots from this morning and realising that it will be a while before I have any more time off at the weekends, I took our youngest daughter who is aged 7, along with her friend to our local “Vue” cinema to watch the Hannah Montana movie. We decided not to take our eldest who is 11, as she went with her friends only yesterday and was probably too embarrassed to have an old man in tow who would only cramp her style.

To be perfectly honest I was eagerly awaiting the release of the new Tom Hanks movie “Angels & Demons“, but decided to put this on hold until another time.

I really thought that once inside, I would either fall asleep or be reading /replying to my emails on my phone, but in all honesty, I really did get into the movie. If you’re one of those that has no choice but to watch Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel on Sky, you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

The film for me, gave a message about bonding and being in touch with reality but also realising one’s priorities, so in a way, I could relate to this movie in one way or another. It seems like that my fee to Disney was well worth it, as there was a hidden message about parenting advice in there too. Mind you a shrink would have probably charged me at least 10 times what I spent today only to give the same advice!! So in all it seemed like a good deal :0)

However, being outside of the target audience age group by about 20 years, I did still find the movie highly entertaining and funny. There were some scenes that made me want to get a bucket and throw up. Hang on, I already had a bucket, it was a 5 litre bucket of popcorn but I decided not to exercise my stomach muscles any further as I didn’t want to ruin the movie for anyone.

After hearing the soundtrack to the movie, which Ria bought last week and now having watched the film, all I can now visualise are the scenes from the movie when they play the music upstairs which can be heard downstairs. As their rooms are directly above my study, I simply react by turning up my Matt Darey and let them have a bit of the old man’s choice of music.

Joking aside, if you have girls, boys, or have no one to go with, take your pet ferret to go and watch this movie for a bit of light entertainment.

PS. In case you’re wondering, I didn’t get a refund on the movie or a free trip to Disney studios for this blog. LOL

Sonia & Parm

What a fantastc Valentines day this was for both Sonia and Parm, who got engaged on this day in Rochester earlier this year. I was there to cover their big day, although I’m still making it up to my wife to this day. I worked alongside Raj from Classic Moments who did the videography, Jaz from Lady Chutneys who provided the most amazing dinner, through to Indy from Powerbass Roadshow, who had the guests dancing away late into the evening. The party took place at the Corn Exchange in Rochester, with the Castle being just a few minutes walk allowed us to capture some great images.
